Hi, I'm Qilanna!
I grew up near Akron, Ohio, where I learned to read by the age of four and wrote my first fiction piece in just the fourth grade: a Star Wars movie script.
As you can tell, I've always been a fan of science fiction and fantasy, and I especially love the stories that lean into the dark, showing the side of humanity we often want to shield our eyes from. But where else would we learn that even the most evil dragons can be defeated?
And so that's what my stories are about! Flawed heroes (often the snarky kind) fighting the darkest of circumstances. But have you ever stood in a cave, where you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face? That is where light always shines the brightest.
When I'm not writing, I'm either reading others' stories, or studying to be a mental health counselor, or I'm hanging out with my ten-year-old Yorkipoo named Sherlock!
